Isle of Wight Spring Westie Beach Party a great success

1st of May, 2014 – The weather doesn’t affect attendance

Inclement weather conditions did nothing to dampen the spirit of people and westies taking part in the IOW Spring event, held in aid of Westie ReHoming. There was an excellent attendance, and Robert with volunteers Mary and Chris travelled across the water to lend their support. The Dog Show was a great attraction with the numerous stalls, and for the first time this year there was a Doggie Deli selling wholesome home-made dog treats which sold out in a very short time.

Local businesses showed their support by donating generously to the raffle, and local pet photographer Cora Wade took individual photos to boost funds. The Event raised an extremely handsome sum to help needy westies, and the proceeds of the raffle were split between WRH and Cat Welfare on the island.

We are indebted to Sharon and her team for their unstinting efforts on an otherwise bleak day.
