Airidh (3rd April 1999 – 10th July 2011

Airidh came to us at four years old, when he was destined for destruction by another charity. He and others like him are our ‘raison d être’ and this lovely lad more than justified our faith in him over the next eight years by proving to be a loyal, loving companion with a zest for life and a wicked sense of humour. He enjoyed a real quality of life right up until he left us suddenly and prematurely.

Airidh held such a special place in our hearts that we decided to make him our figurehead. Some of you may have met him in March this year on our stand at Crufts in the Kennel Club Breed Rescue area where he was ‘flying the flag’ for our charity.

Airidh, (pronounced ‘arry’) is a Scottish Gaelic name meaning ‘worthy, deserving’, and we feel strongly that every dog deserves a chance in life. Here at Westie ReHoming we strive to help all westies regardless of age, looks or pedigree and hope that you will share our commitment when applying to adopt one of our westies.
