Celebrating Ten Years Of Rehoming Westies

24th of May, 2014 – May 24th. our tenth anniversary

Ten years ago a misunderstood westie called Airidh came into our lives. He had been condemned by other rescues but we saw something special in him, something worth working with. Airidh spent the rest of his life with us, proving to be a most loving, loyal and amusing companion. We decided to give the same chance to other westies who needed some understanding and another chance in life. It was then that Westie ReHoming was born and Airidh became the face of the charity.

We have met some lovely people and lovely dogs over the years, cried and laughed and shared their pain and their joy. It has been a real rollercoaster of emotions.

We must thank each and every one of our wonderful volunteers and supporters past and present for the support and dedication they have given us, and most importantly given the lovely dogs that find their way to us and that we have had the privilege of helping. The rewards have been immense and worth the hard work and heartache that is a necessary part of rehoming.

We look forward to many more years of helping our wonderful breed, and thank you all for your contribution over the years no matter how small.

– Jacqui and Robert
