Donna’s amazing virtual cycle ride, from Land’s End to John O’Groats for Westie ReHoming

Some lucky westies will benefit from a fundraising virtual cycle ride by Wiltshire supporter Donna which raised a very welcome sum for Westie ReHoming.
She is seen here presenting Robert with a very handsome cheque for a whopping £780, with Jess and Max looking on.
Her marathon began in March, finishing in July and was no mean feat fitting it in with the responsibilities of a demanding job and her own dogs’ needs.
She says that although being very much fitter after her exertions the calories that she lost were quickly replaced by her voracious appetite!
The day she finished her ride was the hottest day of the year and the only way Donna could cool off was to fall into the dogs’ paddling pool!
What a tremendous achievement, and ridden in some of the wettest, windiest, and then hottest days of the year. Well done Donna, we hope that you will think it has all been worthwhile, and can now put your bicycle in the garage for a bit and take a well earned rest.
